rodolpho: What's the greatest lesson you learned in life?
Well I guess the most important one so far has been this:
Life is the most precious gift I, you, we have been given and must never be taken or given unwillingly, whether to extinguish it from this world forever or shackle it with obligation, guilt or feelings of shame. We do not owe our lives to anyone and only we hold responsibility for our actions, therefore only we are qualified to make those decisions which impact our lives and wellbeing.

To minimize my lifestyle to just the basics... And to never ever take anybody serious... Ohhh... And to get my "get out of hell free" card just in case...

i live by the words of the Serenity Prayer
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.

If everyone is special, no one is special. Now I am strong enough to accept me as me - my unbearable deep thoughts, my hate, my love, this madness, ...... everything with no shame, no fear. So I experience this lightness of life. Yea... I'm flying
Because it is a single living aware being of which we are all an indivisible part with all other life in it.
And, because when you think you are about to run out of it finally, you won't.
You will just be confronted with the real truth of it and that it remembers every thought and action against it where you offended, manipulated, oppressed or destroyed other living parts of it!
'Always nurture life' or it WON'T always nurture you! This is its promise and testable guarantee to all of us whether we want to acknowledge it yet or not?
We can exist as parasites upon its forms like cancers in its body or we can honor and assist its world in every way, even as it must to support all else in it beside each of us for its own better ideal survival in spite of our arrogance and ignorance imposed in it.
Take life that is God's and what do you deserve...? Retribution or karma IS that answer, isn't it? We are never immune from the consequences of our own actions - in spite of those who will now say they know better.

seekndestroy: my philosophy:
having a philosophy requires thinking and awareness, none of which are abundant in that empty space above my shoulders thus.... ..... i'll just open another beer!!!
I will do the same today.
Better to live in ignorance and be happy then to know it all and be sad.

This is my belief.
