Hey Everyone. I had a question to ask. I don't if anyone in here is a fan of the Golden Girls. I def love the show. But, I have always heard rumors that Betty White and Bea Aurthor didn't get along. Has anyone else ever hear about that rumor ?
That show is still on 2 channels I get in syndication. I also was a follower of the show originally on Sat. nights. I heard that also abot the 2 not being friendly off set. Also Bea Authur was higher paid of the 4. Remember seeing Estelle Getty later without the old woman make up I wouldn't have known her if we passed on the street.Did you know she is or was the youngest of the 4? Also the show ended when Bea A. left. They tried a new show after where they ran a hotel, . It didn't make it. Did anyone see the spin off and think it was humorous?

I went to a taping of the show years ago. It was fun. Bea Author was not very pleasant. Betty White was a real hoot! She was always talking with the audience
I love that show too, but have no idea if they liked each other. It would be hilarious if they were catty to each other the second the camera went off.

I could see that...Betty always seemed to be a real sweetheart, and someone you'd love to meet.
I might get pilloried by the guys for this but Golden Girls was/is one of my favorite shows. Bea Arthur was a comedic genious she could deliver a punchline like few comedians could. She had perfect timing and facial expression & control. I think it was one episode of "Maude" with Adrianne Barbeau playing her daughter? Well, Maude said something dumb which gave Adrianne a laugh while walking slowly all the way up the stairs while Bea with that classic deadpan face followed her all the way up with her eyes and then slowly turned to the camera and said "To think, when she was a baby, I spent 10 minutes fishing a marble out of her potty seat." Classic stuff!
