"We can restore the power of intent through a return to the true self, or self-actualization.

People who attain self-actualization reestablish their connectedness to the non-local mind. They have no desire to manipulate and control others.

They are independent of criticism and also of flattery.

They feel beneath no one, but they also feel superior to no one. They are in touch with the internal reference point that is their soul, and not their ego."

Would you stop being so pretentious, rusty?

Have you ironed the sheets for your lady love yet?

If not, what are you doing here?

And who do you think you are????????

........OK. Well, that wasn't so bad....(brushes herself off...)

I was just wanting to find out how it felt to be 'non actualised'

rolling on the floor laughing

Awww, there, there,comfort sigh

Good work in the meantime, though!

BTW, why don't you ask iamamm to start that group of yours on making money.

He seems to be just the man, into all kinds of wheeling and dealing. Don't tell him I said that!laugh

Last night I asked a very nice young man to start a writer's group, and he did. So, I think iamamm will be the shot!thumbs up

I think I prefer a writer's group to making money; especially as I've reached all my financial targets I set myself for 10th June 2009 by today, 24th April 2009!

Control can be many things to many people; to many it could be a matrer od self-control as opposed to control over other people.

I think I had an instinct for control in a bad way - you know......... the 'wanting what you think is good for another person' syndrome - it doesn't work at all!

People need to make up their own minds what they want and if you think they should want a purple Bentley Mulsanne Turbo when they KNOW they want a pair of pink roller-skates that is their desire and there is no point in telling them how good the pigging Bentley is! grin

Ah, you've done brilliantly then, rusty!

Btu now you have planted the idea, I would like someone to start that group. I need to get going. But I might just contact the local company where I attended some training on share trading.

Have you joined the writers' group then? Will go look!

Well your problem is being a control freak if I got it right? So whatever you want to change about your life or yourself you need to keep reminding yourself, in an open and creative spirit. I don't know what else the thread might have been about, the intro was a bit shady kiss

No, I don't think I'm a control freak, but I think I might have been in the past without knowing it........... now the only thing I like to keep control of is my budget as I can sometimes be over-generous and then regret it later when eating baked beans for a few years as a consequence!

Now, now. You do know you can join. scold

Roomi was kind enough to start the thread, coz I couldn't. He set it up that way, to ensure only serious posts were placed there. That was a good idea I think, at least for now. It can be changed.

The prompt tells you to email one of the members. So I guess posting on here is kinda the same.hug

I'm off to do the invite thangsuper
