Da10th: Felt like it was in the 80s here today. I miss winter already. At least in the winter when you're cold, you can put more on to get warm...Only so much by law you can take off and be in public when you are hot.

laugh laugh It was almost 90 here today, and yesterday...had to turn the A/C on. Thank goodness...summer is just around the corner! applause

But some day they will switch it over to a/c, but I think they wait for someone to pass out first.crying doh wave

Went with acouple friends Sat to a lake in Houeston Woods State Park. While there we fed the orphaned deer and then did some fishing but it was so windy we just reeled our lines in and decided to go to the horse rental to check on the price and riding horses.

While at the horse rental one of the horses callapsed while one of the staff people were on it.We couldn't see what actually happened cause a vehicle was blocking our view so I began walking towards the end of the vehicle where I could get a better view of the horse.I noticed where the rider had removed the saddle blanket and saddle. Since I've had horses myself and knew what to do I ran over with a lead and then got ahold of a garden hose and proceeded to give the horse some water and then put on the lead and with all my strenghth and crying was finally able to get the horse up.
There was a man standing next to me and he had commented that that was a good way for the horse to get out of being ridden was by falling down.I looked over at him and at the very same standing next to the horse petting the horse and letting him cool down and enjoy some clover and grass.
I'm still crying my eyes out and tired out from pulling on the horses lead trying to get him back up and I've got this fool making stupid comments. As I said I looked right staright at him and said that "he'd fallen down too if someone had ridden on his back all day."I was totally po'd.

There were several horses tied to a long pole under a metal shelter still wearing their blankets and saddles. And then there were also some other horses tired to long poles but were in the direct hot sun.

After what I wittnessed Sat I'm calling who's ever in charge of the horse rental location and I'm going to complain.

nomindgames: In the past there were times when this type of thread brought info to us about another member. So good or bad,let it out here.

I am happy to be back for awhile since my ailment keeps me from getting on comp. very often or for long.Today has been a good one for using comp. without pain.

I thought my dryer was shot.Turns out there was so much lint stuck in the outside vent tube. Now it works again .

Had an aquintance just move closer to me,a good thing.

Hmmm...I should check my outside vent. I don't know when it was checked last. sigh

Not really a gripe, nor something positive, but something I'll share. I tried to quit smoking, took it back up temporarily when I discovered that it was like all of my old scars had been reopened. The person I thought I'd gotten rid of so many years ago was apparently just suffocated under all of my vices, and I wasn't prepared for the emotional fall-out. Now that I know, and am prepared to try to deal with it, I'm willing to try again. I can't have meltdowns at work, and I didn't like having them again at all. I thought those roller coaster rides were behind me. sigh
