but once i got in one all that prep work was still only about 25%
of whats necessar y
the rest is gettin over my own obstinance
not being too lazy or fearful to communicate

it aint easy havin a partner but i do want one so i gotta do what it takes

I think it is very true. A relationship is a lot of give and take and takes a lot of work. A conscience effort to make it work so to speak. Without that no relationship stands a chance.

It is very True...Two cant walk togather unless they agree, and if they agree, One must Lead..... You have to walk the same direction, not going away from each other..... But Staying Close to each other, So you can team up on lifes situations..... One must be Trained ... to know and understand the other, and stay by them in Peace..... Yes it takes work, and patients

Uh, giving, yes - but in a loving relationship I don't see it as work - it's a pleasure to give to a person you love.
As for highlighted statement, I do not believe it at all - have you ever seen lopsided relationships where a person who puts everything into it gets nothing out of it?
