someone mentioned snuff. kodiak is working for me. (sorry if i'm not qouting people directly) someone else said something about not beating yourself up. man are they right about that. your gut might tell you to admonish yourself. that just makes it worse.

Out of curiosity, how much does Kodiak cost down there ? Up here (Canada) it's $14.00 for a can of 34 grams.

I was married to a woman who hated my smoking. When we'd be out and I'd be smoking my pipe, she'd walk ten steps ahead of me. But then, she hated that I ate cookies, drank coffee and that I snored. I once read a story of a woman who also hated her husband's snoring. She said that she nagged him, and nagged him about it until she was blue in the face. He died and left her behind. She went on to say tearfully, that she would give anything to hear that snoring again. We can focus on the flaws of the ones we love until they loom up so big, that they hide the beautiful person that we fell in love with. No?

I know exactly what you mean about how hard it can be to quit smoking. I quit about 5 or 6 years ago cold turkey (NOT for the feint of heart) and stayed quit until the day last December 30th when my wife died and I started again.
I'm sure I'll quit again but right now I'm not even going to try. Regardless of what anyone will say, it calms the nerves and eases some of the stress.
And no, the glow of a lit cigarette isn't going to outshine Him.

Well, since you put it that way... I hear you. My mom is 64, and she's been smoking for a long time. She wants to quit, but I know she would be a nervous wreck... which is also bad for the heart. Sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do. Welcome Freddy, stay cool.

i was married to someone that could only focus on my negative aspects too. i kept telling her over and over that this was a problem, but she just wouldn't get it.

thats a weak statement
and there is nothing wrong in people having a preference and one that would preclude them falling in love with a smoker
im a hardass
if someone claims Him i want to see fruit
i want to see a man that can be the head because he knows how to rely on Him
that comes from just one lil ol gal
im nobody
but i can have a say and a direction to some degree and He expects me to as well
