Why do people lie? (90)
lvn2laugh: Why do people lie when you've been honest and invited their honesty and openness and you've proven you don't judge or hold their honesty against them? I just wanna know!
I gave it up. I can not understand the human nature, sometimes myself included...
But, try to think this way: you are not the one who said a lie, so it is not your problem. Some one else has a problem. DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALY, because if you do, the lie is causing the effect on you. We can not allow other people to "push" on us the effects of their attitudes.

lie is necessary when its needed,sometimes it does not to hurt the person..but mostly it worst especially when we discovered..it cause of hurt and pain..

This is very easy to answer my dear. Do to the fact that most people do not know who they are spiritually, they seem to put out a false indentity to be recognized by others.
If one would take that opportunity to know oneself, love oneself and be at peace with self,, a whole different person would have a understanding of the perspective there currently viewing.
Its a form of the "EGO" speaking for them, know this.
Its pretty much pure selfishness to the point of recognition

They prey on our weakness, our vulnerability, I have learned to quit telling so much about myself. Better to let them learn on their own. Sometimes they lie to avoid hurting feelings, sometimes they lie cause they have no idea how to reply and sometimes they like because well...they are just slimy snakes

From personal experience, I have found that people lie because it's easier for them to do so. Some find honestly to be the easiest path. What many fail to realize is, that when lies are uncovered for the truths that they become, it creates a great resistance that is more fierce than it would have been, had it been the truth in the first place.

Thanks to all for replying. Let me clarify one thing - I haven't been hurt by someone with lies. I know people lie alot and like someone here said "everyone lies" and I believe that. I just wondered why.
