You know, I really hate that word "requirements."
Love is based on acceptance, not judgment, castigation, long checklists of do-s and dont's, you should be this and you can't be that. As soon as you think like that, you've already lost. Your options for finding someone just became incredibly reduced.
The only thing I think my entire body responds to that has any sense of 'requirement' whatsoever, is just raw chemistry, and that is purely physical. You look at someone and get a feeling. That feeling translates into either . . .
A. Ja, I like = go for it
B. No way
And I trust that gut intuition. It is primal ; it is natural.
And you take it from there : you open your heart a bit, let the person in, learn what they are like, accept what they are like with a sense of joy and let them know that you accept them, and you move forward happily from that point.
As soon as I detect anything else from a person, any kind of attitude that lacks acceptance and a positive feel to it, I'm gone. You can't change people : I know this after all these years, so you start by ACCEPTING them.
