Seriously, would you step in front of a speeding car, take a bullet or otherwise put yourself in harms way for a partner, parent, child or other person you love?

If I could save them by doing it, quite possibly. Something like that is spur of the moment and you dont have time to think about it.

I hope that, I'd do it for someone that I didn't know.... Guess thats why I like being a TX Peace officer...To Protect and Serve...meant something to me.

It is strange to think about it in a way. I know I'd be willing to put myself at risk for any of may family members or my students. I do wonder how automatic my reflexes would be in the heat of the moment.
My Grandfather and father in law were both in the military. They react automatically to any threat even though they have both been civilians for decades.
Katt and her brother both seem to react automatically too. Partly learned from their father and partly from all of the cops they hung out with growing up.

What greater love is there, than laying down your life for someone you love.
