SuzyJ: I do it because of my ethnic origins, if I dont get enough sun I look very sallow and almost ill...also my skin breaks out in spots if I dont get enough in winter I even have to go blast myself in the solarium once a month - before anybody says anything its the lowest setting for the shortest time and once a month is enough! besides....everyone gets cancer these days...I might as well enjoy beautiful skin and take my chances

tainogirl: Why do people do it? Is it just to get a deeper skin tone or just because it feels good if you live in a very cold country to sit in the broiling sun being slowly cooked like a turkey. Or is it for both reasons? How many people here on CS do it?

To get that natural protection activated and stop being so bl*dy transparent all the time
I am not too fond of walking around looking like blue deep frozen something.

i work in the sun most of the summer so I try not tto get any more than that ...but I do when I am in the boat tho
