for a stag party?

I've been asked to be best man at my best mate's wedding in September and one of my duties is to organise the stag party and I need your input please.

What do you think would be the perfect town for the stag party?

I need somewhere that doesn't cost an arm and a leg for two nights in a decent hotel (preferably with a residents in a place that has good nightlife with an activity thrown in on the Saturday (e.g. clay pigeon shooting)

Any thoughts on what the activity should be?

All suggestions would be most appreciated beer

Kilkenny has always held a big attraction to hens and stags.I work in pub/rest and there's always many around. Its small and a few steps take you from one pub or restaurant to the next.I wouldnt know alot about the activity on Sat.There's several nice hotels very central as some are taxi's in and out.

Westport is a good town for stag and hen parites. Its a bit longer than two hours driving but there are a lot of activities that can be done in the area.

Hiya wave

Carrick On Shannon is a great spot 1.5-2 hour drive not too big and not too small good few pubs and some nice restaurants and you can head out on the boats during the day. Was there last year for a hens party its a good spot !!!
