for a stag party?

I've been asked to be best man at my best mate's wedding in September and one of my duties is to organise the stag party and I need your input please.

What do you think would be the perfect town for the stag party?

I need somewhere that doesn't cost an arm and a leg for two nights in a decent hotel (preferably with a residents in a place that has good nightlife with an activity thrown in on the Saturday (e.g. clay pigeon shooting)

Any thoughts on what the activity should be?

All suggestions would be most appreciated[/quote

its brill fun, also an equestrain center, so could do horse ridding aswell...

Crollydoll11: Kilkenny has always held a big attraction to hens and stags.I work in pub/rest and there's always many around. Its small and a few steps take you from one pub or restaurant to the next.I wouldnt know alot about the activity on Sat.There's several nice hotels very central as some are taxi's in and out.

Yeah i agree with u, good for stags! KK great place! banana cheers

We didnt stay in the town but about 5 -10 mins outside got a fantastic B&B more like a hotel and the couple that ran it were lovely. I'll see if I can remember the name of the place.

i would say kilkenny or waterford. paris texas in kilkenny is a great pub. usually great craic in there with stags and hens. langtons is great club and all the pubs are very close to eachother.

was in waterford last weekend. its a great spot. harveys pub is really good with the nicest beer garden/smoking area i have ever seen. its really big and spacious. also tramore is only 10 mins drive from the city so the next morning ye could always head out to the beach for a swim or surf. i hear its great for a hangover although when im hungover all i want to do is curl up in my bed and die lol
