funny, I wasn't saying that he didn't accept Christ, all I'm saying is it's not the only way to find peace

Why should you have to accept religion as part of your rehabilitation?
It sounds like more punishment to me.

Religion is punishment to me. I find more freedom and peace in simply being spiritual. I am not for rituals and ho hum gospel. I do however find a lot of strength in confessing the word of God out of my mouth. "Out of the abundance of the heart, the MOUTH speaks" Matthew 12:34" and "Every idle word that men shall SPEAK, they shall give an account thereof in the day of Judgement" Matthew 12:36 - 37 I've learned control my mouth and I control my thoughts, control both of these things and I control my world and shape my destiny. Whether I am right or wrong this is how it works for me.

Hey, whats up? Way diffrent situation but I know how you feel. A few years ago my best freind asked me to get him some oxy's. I was a restaurant manager and we did alot of work with drug reps so I had a few "connections". Anyways it turns out he was wearing a wire and because I refused too, I went to state for 2 and a half years. Everyone that meets me cant beleave Ive been in prison. Ive never even shot a gun. But, we all make mistakes. Its how we chose to deal with them that makes us the people that we are.

Yeah, I worked myself up to doing 1000 sit ups, 1000 push ups and running 5 miles a day while I was in there. I am still ripped to shreds for a 47 year old

Interesting thread...I've never been convicted, but wouldn't say I am an angel either...but my past is exactly that...the past. If a person is going to run behind my back and look me up without asking me face to face, then they don't deserve my time or effort.

I personally don't believe you should of done any time for that at all, and I wouldn't consider self defense a crime! Although, I think convicts should be forgiven after they have served their time, with the exception of pedifiles, rapists, and the like.

As far as giving you a chance at winning my heart goes, absolutely! You already have to some degree!
