I firmly believe that's true. Sometimes you can just see the news anchor squirm as he or she reads the really outrageous lies. Also, BBC World News used to cut right to the chase and show the real truth. More in the past than now.

Witchaywoman: I was watching some wife swapping shows. They always have really extreme families where the kids are being spoiled rotten or ignored. It's always either the kids all sleep in a dungeon while the parents eat caviar or the kids are allowed to squander their youth on some kind of ridiculous diversion. Do you know ANY parents as extreme and nutty as the parents on that show? I know there are some nutty parents out there, but they don't represent the whole population by far. I know for a fact that shows like Gerry Springer are fake. The people are actors reading scripts. It doesn't even seem like it should be legal to present some of that stuff as fact.
You know,woman, after living in North America for more than 15 years I would say a part about children is not a fake.

If it wasn't for Homer Simpson who shares my chronic optimism with inevitable failure, my tv would be gone too! Most of it really is trash. So called reality tv is the worst. Opra, Jermmy Kyle, Jerry Springer....it's all tv for the brain dead to me.
