mcattack: Is a Jaffa Cake a cake or a biscuit?? this came up in conversation before in the boozer and it went on for ages your answer must have a reason!!
i would say biscuit! its to small to be considered a cake!
well yea thats true! i like to eat around the bit with the orange and save that bit till last! lol. jesus i cant believe im having a conversation at half two in the morning about jaffa cakes! lmao!
Just to add to the confusion. They've copied them out here (as they copy and pirate every thing) and they've called them Jaffa Bakes. Bícuits or cakes? Depends where you eat them.

I'd also say biscuit because looks like one and tastes like one, plus cakes are suppose to be fresh for a very limited time. People who are unsure are probably deceived because its soft but technically most biscuits are.
wexlady41: Both cake and biscuits are eaten with tea or coffee Kg. That doesn't help!!!
Well you can't dunk cake in a mug of coffee Wex Or maybe you can't!!!! Must try it! HMMM, I'd easily eat a whole pack of Jaffa's, they're addictive. Them and Oreo cookies
Wiki always comes in handy for these things. Myself and some mates had the same argument before and the conclusion was that it's a cake because it's soft. The evidence:
"Throughout most of the world, the term biscuit still means a hard, crisp, brittle bread, except in the United States and Canada, where it now denotes a softer bread product baked only once."
Since we live in neither the US nor Canada... It's a cake!!!
