mtngypsy828: You were being scar--what??? Oh, you mean SARCASTIC, ironic, perhaps even satirical. Maybe it's true. Maybe it's not. I'm sure we will hear it from
Fox News Entertainment.

I don't know about Obama's people causing anyone to commit suicide, but I do know that quite a few American soldiers have come home and committed suicide and homicide due to that war that W started in Iraq.

But I guess there's no causal relationship there....

Sorry Typo....mtngypsy828.....it is the timing of the suciede that is strange. Former Gov Blagovich begins to 'go public' with White House connections to the Senate seat dealings (his word there not mine).....and now someone that had admitted quilt to illegal IL state contracts that were awarded by Gov. Blagovich...commits suciede. This man has had several months to commit suciede...just happens to choose the nite when Gov. Blagovish names Emanuel as a party in the FBI investigation?

Is there a link between it all? I don't know.

But Gov. Blagovish is saying he was taken out of context on the FBI taped phone calls. That the FED will not release the full and complete transcript of them...that will prove his innocence. (Sound like Cheney's position on the CIA memos?) So he has to syponia parties that the conversations were with.

He also said last nite...that the present IL Senator was not his first pick. He was going to appoint a woman, whose father was going to approve IL legislation that was going to create 500,000 jobs in IL. All of a sudden he is out of office....and LT Gov't is making the appointment of someone else.

We are not talking about American soldiers here with combat stress disorders. We are talking about business men and politicians whose dealings and practices are involved. Chicago law enforcement is now saying it is a OD. They first had it as a suciede. He lived for 4 hours after para medics got to him. So unless comatose, you would think that they would know. You can have a OD suciede...or a OD. Interesting yes? I wonder what made them to first call it a suciede....then switch to OD.

lerald: Can you name those "failed policies?"

Here's a few for starters.

Dominionist colonialism.
Bush's effort to create a US-led neo-con "coalition" to conquer the world in God's name (for big business).

Faith-based initiative.
A gold-mine of government freebies for neo-con projects, nearly all as phony as a 3 dollar bill.

"Weapons of Mass destruction",
the "justification" for invading a peaceful nation and massacring its people.

Government imposed drugging of schoolkids.
One of the most evil things any nation has ever done.

Bush's economic policy.
Created the present situation.

When a president's approval rating drops down into the teens, it's pretty safe to say that ALL of his policies were failures in the eyes of most people.

RayfromUSA: Nevertheless, Obama does indeed lie.
Bigtime.
All politicians do.

The scariest thing of this whole healthcare issue is Obama's call for people to report critics of his policies in view of legal prosecution.

It's right out of the old soviet thought-police handbook.

In Praise of Joe Wilson: What's Wrong with Calling Out Liars in Congress?

What's wrong with President Obama a Liar during his speech in congress? It is not only rude and disrespectful to actually do that during the speech it also wasn't true. Joe Wilson called to apologize to the president on Wednesday. So if he did the "right" thing, if he was so convinced the president was a liar, then why did he apologize?

Obama’s Health Care Speech
We fact-check the president's address to Congress and the nation.

September 10, 2009

The president addressed a joint session of Congress Sept. 9, and the event was televised nationally.

Illegal Immigrants

Obama said that his proposal would not cover illegal immigrants, a remark that prompted Republican Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina to shout "You lie!"

Obama: There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false – the reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.

The president is correct: The House bill contains a section (Sec. 246) titled "NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS," which states: "Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States."

However, conservative critics object to a lack of specific enforcement measures in the bill. They argue that the lack of a specific verification mechanism constitutes a loophole that would allow illegal immigrants to get benefits despite the legal prohibition. Republican Rep. Dean Heller of Nevada proposed an amendment to the bill that would have required the use of the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements program to check the citizenship of anyone applying for federal coverage or affordability credits. SAVE is the program used by Medicaid and similar entitlement programs. That amendment was voted down along party lines by the House Ways and Means Committee....

I remember GWB firing a US Army General that stood in his Church and talked about the 'coming Christian/Muslim conflict'.

My mom works at one of the local Church run food banks faith based initiative help to run. With the falling economy, the number of those using them has increased several fold.

Iraq a peaceful nation? With Sadam in power? The Iraq/Iran war started with an invasion of Iran by Iraq. The first Gulf war started with a Iraq invasion of Kuwait.

Imposed drugging of school kids? Sure you are not a writer for
Rev Wright of Trinity Church in Chicago? I can remember all those GWB drugged out kids coming to school......to get FED govt' breakfasts funded by the GWB administration.

Ray, sure you don't have a serious case of 'revisionist history'?
It is hard to get rid off.....but take a one doze of reality check, add in one conservative magazine reading a week and switch to a different news channel......

That is why the DEM in Congress....failed to vote a REP written admendment to keeping illegal aliens from getting health care.

Of course DR. Dean comes on weekend news shows...to say in essesnce...just trust us....it will be taken care of.....all the time the number that the DEM have used in the health care debate
have included the illegal aliens.....when they say...42-45m without health care. Subtract the 9-11m illegal aliens....and you have the number of Americans without health care...more like 35m.

But 45m is better number to toss around in the debate. So if DEMs have the illegal out of the program, Sky? Why use the bigger number? If they were not thinking about adding illegal aliens to the program?

Is there a major problem that DEMs would have with asking for proof of citizenship for a FED health care program, Sky?

Maybe a little thing like toxicology reports that showed drugs in his system? Of course, to some conspiracy theorists, that could be made up, too.

Doesn't it occur to you that Blago would probably say anything about anyone at this point in time? Kind of like using a street snitch to convict a felon? Like I've said, certain slimy people I just don't give a crap about. But there are those that would believe a tape recorded proven sellout with real moral and ethical issues rather than give up their personal delusions.

Gov. Blago cannot sell the Senate seat in a vacuum. He has to have buyers for it. See the FEDs indicting any buyers? I am sure at this point Gov. Blago is saying anything and everything facing the charges that he does.

But is it coincidence that one of his Chicago buddies commits suceide at this time or something more malicious? I don't know.
But if Ollie North was the loose cannon on the Reagon deck...then
Gov. Blago is the loose cannon on the Obama deck. Right now the barrel is pointed down into the hull....

Lest we forget that anything UNDOCUMENTED can be documented. professor

There can be hidden agenda's that may over-ride the House Bill. It's happened before, it's happening right now--can you honestly say it will never happen again? I cannot.

If we put a side our political party beliefs for but a moment and just look at those two words "You Lie." Obviously there's a reason why they were spoken. Again, put our political party beliefs a side and give those two words consideration.

And then consider why those "undocumented aliens" (another term for ILLEGAL aliens) are currently receiving governmental aid right now. Someone's lieing, someone's over-riding that House Bill right now.

It is amazing to me that something that both parties were guilty of for a long time is suddenly a partisan issue. Look at the history. Democrats have historically disliked undocumented aliens because they can be exploited by the American agribusiness, meatpacking, and construction industry. In meatpacking and construction, this lowers wages and benefits and has been used to replace union jobs. In agribusiness, illegals are paid starvation wages and put on sharecrop systems similar to those in the antebellum South. Democrats have historically approved of immigration of documented workers who can then become Union members. However, their social justice agenda demands that they not discriminate against these minorities.
Republicans have historically hired illegal aliens to work in the aforementioned businesses, and if you go back in America even further, to build railroads and in the garment industry in this country and to bust unions. They want high profit margins for their free market and will either hire illegal aliens in this country or take their business out of the country if possible, claiming that labor is their greatest business expense. Republicans in Congress have blocked any meaningful reform of businesses who hire illegals; the fines are negligible and the paperwork required is shaky at best. However, Republicans seem to have a problem with minorities. The first time President Bush was elected, he got the majority of the Hispanic vote in this country. By the time of the 2008 campaign, the Republicans had frittered away most of that vote; I believe down to only 20% of Hispanics. I don't know why that happened. I am neither Hispanic nor a Hispanic activist. But it was a factor in the outcome of the election in several states.

At any rate, now we have this faked party polarization (and the sheeple on both sides just follow right along) over yet another issue that is deeper and more difficult than most people can figure out in a 10 second sound bite. All the screaming and roaring that is done over illegal immigration overlooks two facts: that it's going to be darn difficult to keep illegals out as long as American business hires them; and that it's pretty inhumane to uproot the English speaking children of illegals her in America and send them back to a country that they know nothing about so our political parties can pretend to settle in black and white terms what is really a big complex gray issue.
