Are "drive-thrus" faster or just convienent? ( Archived) (13)

I went up to the drive thru at Burger King this morning and a lady was just sitting there at the speaker not talking in it or even attempting to order. I waited and waited....then I turned around and drove to the front, parked, and ran inside and was walking outside with my breakfast when the lady started her order...Go figure. That is not the first time that it was quicker going inside than waiting in the line of the drive thru. What do you think?dunno

Oh I absolutly hate that when people do that. I mean frig here they have the big signs before you get into the drive through and you can pick from there instead of holding traffic. But I know what you mean. I find it all depends on the day I guess and times you go through the drive thru.

But I do find it really convenient.

Drive throughs, hate them. Much quicker to go inside. How lazy are we becoming ? Went to a native resevation today, saw a drive thru cigarrette store. Really. I believe there are drive thru marriage chapels in Vegas. Paws

There should be a drive-thru singles store. A menu with pics., and a brief bio. I'll have one blonde please, and don't super-size her. Paws

I used to cringe when going through the drive through with my deceased or ex. Trying to remember all what everyone especially when you have family wants. I would rather go in. I am sorry I thought you said Dr. Pepper. No, I wanted Diet Pepsi. Where is my freaking straw. Go back I want my straw. Where are my french fries? I am not eating the fish sandwich because it is cold. It got so bad this one time the lady I was with in this one place that she went in the kitchen and showed them how to make a cheeseburger. Now you put the buns down, got that? Yes, m'am. Ok, let me know if I am going to fast for you. Yes m'am. Now cook the meat. Wait till it is cooked before you put it on the bun. Yes m'am. Now slice this tomato. Yes m'am. Ok, m'am. so the next time I come here you will know how to make a cheeseburger? Yes, m'am. Good.
