After seeing this...I began to think of pre WWII. Where conventional war...by Germany invasion and Japanese expansion....tore the war apaprt for a decade.

Then I thought about China with conventional army of 12-14m and 1 billion in population. How it looks across a very narrow water channel to the very small island of Tiawan. A Tiawan that is today under the United State nuclear umbrella as it is part of SEATO.

The day the last US nuclear device gets disarmed, is the day I bet land prices in Tiawan decrease dramatically.

Looks like China $700b dollar investment in the US just made them their first return. Someday the future lost of Tiawan as a free country to being part of a Communist China.

Not only unenforceable, but insincere.

The US is not about to give up its own nuclear arsenal or other WMDs. And yet it expects the former 3rd world countries to not even develop nuclear energy.

As someone said about Africa, solar and wind are not viable options so if can't use either carbon or nuclear power, they can't have electricity at all.

And that's exactly what the Obamination wants.

you know i feel its not the us right to tell Iran to give up its nuke program. do i think the leader of Iran is nuts. yes i do. but if israel bombs Iran. Russia. will get involved. Putin wants Russian respect back. he will try to make a name in history for his self. that spells bad news for rest of the world.

Even when I lived in Taiwan back in the mid 80s the US had already stopped recognizing Taiwan as a seperate nation and considered it a part of China.

You can bet that Obama has already agreed to allow China to take Taiwan back, using economic pressure.

To be honest he has no choice. The US economy is totally dependant upon China's good will. The day China calls in the debt the US goes into total meltdown with no option other than total war. Everybody knows that so it's like the old MAD situation. China has to support the US and the US has to keep China happy.

As a Russian, I expect you are a chess player, and you know that a succesful strategy involves having multiple threats on all the key positions.

In this global chessgame, Iran and Israel are both key forward positions, Russia must protect Iran, and the US must protect Israel. And all the other nations position themoselves to reinforce that principal standoff.

Nobody, least of all Iran or Israel, really wants to see the two sides start to trade pieces. And I don't think it's going to happen.

Instead, I think the globalists intend to use the precarity of the situation to scare the world towards global government.

FTR we recognise the UN is basically all countries in the world ganging up against us in this point, we regard the UN every bit the enemy as N Korea, the taliban, or Iran, but far better armed and dangerous. The UN is a perfect example of a government solution being worse than the problem it was supposed to solve. It has now become the start of a global government that will eliminate our constitution in the end. Our only hope is they are so inept and corrupt. This resolution is a perfect example of their stupidity.

Why should Russia protect Iran, Iran is a more potential threat to Russia then to US, and after Obama's refuse to PRO in Europe, there is no sense to play this game anymore. I consider the world is no longer able to stand such kind of games in the face of global enviromental and socially economic matters.

I know of at least two times, the American Pacific fleet was used to face off on China invasions of Tiawan.

No, he had a choice. He could have rejected the Chinese purchase of the T-Bills. He could have placed restricting regulations on thier sale to foriegn government during the economic crisis.

That is what he was preaching? yes? New financial regulations and rules. To stabilize the financial markets of the US and World.
You don't stablize your financial markets by taking massive funds in
from a country that is dimetrically opposite of your country values.

If I feel a transaction is wrong or will lead to major future problems or even is a illegal sale....I don't have to sell....the American gov't was selling and the Chinese was buying. It is a question of ethic and good judgement.

Ever listen to Judge Judy.....when she rips into deadbeat man that took money from a woman for cell phone services. His defense is always to say...."she was giving, so I took". China was giving, so Obama took.

Refusing the sales might have slowed the economy recovery, but it would have kept the US in a position to fullfil it treaty obligations with SEATO nations.
