I think Uncle Sam has some unplayed cards up his sleeve regarding Iran. That when Pres. A and the Ruling clerics see them being played on the table......they will take a different course reading the nuclear programs.

You are right that the push to attack Iran comes not from America, per se, but from Israel and its lobbies in the US.
However economic winds have shifted and China has more influence than the Jewish lobby. If China doesn't want the US to invade Iran, it won't happen.
In fact, if it comes to a showdown between China and Israel over who controls the US, it may well be Israel that finds itself invaded by a peacekeeping coalition, including the US.
