BILLINGS - The jail in Hardin has been empty for about two years, but on September 4th officials with the Two Rivers Authority, the economic development agency that paid for the facility, signed a contract with a private police firm called American Police Force to fill the jail. "I think it's a great situation," said Al Peterson the Vice President of Two Rivers Authority. "I have found these people to be wonderful community partners." The company's website states the U.S. government is their biggest client, but an Associated Press search of two comprehensive federal government contractor databases turned up no record of American Police Force. Several media agencies have identified inconsistencies with the company. For instance their website states they have "years of experience," but a company spokesman said the corporation was formed this February. They also list an address to a building in Washington D.C., but no one at that address has ever heard of them. "At this point that does not concern me." Peterson said. "I've been in contact with enough members of the A.P.F. and their representatives." A company spokesman who would only identify himself as Captain Michael said they have never had experience housing prisoners and the jail was not the biggest attraction in Hardin. "We don't really want to get into the prison business," he said. "We were actually interested more in the training center." While he can't specify exactly what they will be training for, the company investigates everything from missing persons to insurance fraud to cheating spouses. Peterson said they're excited to have a military presence in a town without a police force. A.P.F. has already put down what Captain Michael calls a "substantial amount of money." They'll be in Hardin next week and start filling about 250 positions, 80% of which will be hired locally. "We will bring the city of Hardin back on their feet," Michael said. Two Rivers Authority officials will present the information at a city council meeting Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. in Hardin, but they do have a signed contract and do not need council approval.

The citizens of Hardin, Montana are very concerned and confused.
At the end of October, they will no longer have their local police force. The city has contracted American Police Force, a private contractor as the new police department.

Has anyone heard of them? They are International police as well.

Contracting a prison is one thing, but building and running a police training center and being the local police force for a town is unheard of. This will be their first attempt.

This is what one resident had to say...

"Yesterday, a convoy of twelve 'blacked out' Mercedes Benz SUV’s were brought into town. They were already painted with Hardin’s colors and ‘Hardin Police Force’ was already painted on them! Hardin’s sheriff’s department will no longer be in operation after the month of October. During October, the Sheriff’s Department is to train this new security force in all the logistics of running the town of Hardin. If you go on the American Police Force site, you might notice that the logo they use is actually a Russian logo. I have been told that the man who came with this new security force as the captain, has a thick Russian accent.

Earlier this month, in an interview in regards to this Hardin prison and the training center that they are planning to build, we were told that seventy five percent of the security officers that were to be trained would be ‘international’.

This private security force is already patrolling the town. They had several people stopped yesterday. Also, it appears that they are building some type of heavy duty gate at the entrances of our town.

In an interview, the American Police Force security has stated that they will stay here one month to assess the population and then they will make their permanent base here. They said they are scouting out thirty towns in the U.S. but that Hardin is the first. Also, President Obama has authorized and signed a bill for full government funding of the privatization of the police departments throughout the U.S. By the end of October, it is their plan to have all major cities locked down!"

Just as I suspected!

"With Hardin officials also saying little about the company, rumors have flourished. On a Web site run by right-wing radio show host Alex Jones, a posting claimed that employees of American Police Force had "occupied" the city and started patrolling its streets."

Here in my area of Ohio there are several very successful private prisons. The only problem I have with them is we are housing the worst of the worst from the Washington DC area. I don't think we should have to have other states felons here. We have more than enough of our own.
Never had an escape from the private prison but have had a couple from the super max just 5 miles from my home.

OK, how is the APF ANY different than Blackwater?

How many other private investigation/training centers/police agencies/security forces etc etc etc are there?

What else is new?

The crime is that we have millions of able bodies men and women in prison for no good reason other than the FAILED "War on Drugs" and 3 strikes and you're out laws and sentencing guidlines that before too long there will be more people IN prison than will be out earning a F__king living and contributing to the common good!

Thanks so much for sharing the links, Conrad!

Mike Young's facts make you cringe.

I could not sleep last night, after I posted the video links.
I was so troubled over it, I tossed a turned for a couple of hours knowing in my gut that something wasn't right with all of this.

From looking at their website, I found it odd that they state they have staff on CIA, yet if you want to know if a spouse is cheating, they have private investigators for that, as well as taking on kidnapping and ransom cases, both domestically and internationally. This is getting really creepy!

With ties to Saudi Arabia, this could explain where all of the money comes from. They like Mercedes too.
Come on now, what police force would drive Mercedes SUV's???
Yet, there they are, on the News!!!

Hopefully, this will turn into a big "sting" operation for the CIA to catch these guys. Maybe their plan will blow up in their face?dunno

I am still reading to find out more. Please, share all of the good stuff here!!! We need to know what is going on!

If something like that were remotely true, then it would have been the right-wing government to implement it. The privatization of government functions is the domain of the right, not the left. doh
