Hi. I hate your government. And no I'm not talking about George Bush, I actually mostly agree with the guy... gulp, can't believe i just typed that outloud (heehee) But anyways..... I want to move to your country. I want to be closer to Gil as I ahve told everyone on a million threads already but.... it is so bloody difficult. I mean I have to pay 1000$ bloody dollars and fill out and application to be put into a "lotto"? WTF??
It's not like I'm going to shoot people or become a terrorist or live on your social assistance programs... I want a job, I want to be legal, I want to make a life there..... mostly I just wanna be closer to Gil. But it seems like its nearly impossible.

Today I wish I was an illegal Mexican....sigh... all I'd have to do is jump a fence or cross a river and your government would hand me my green card.
Sorry. I know I'll get some bad feedback about this but I'm just completely at my wits end and sadly.... almost giving up any hope of being closer to Gil..... this is so disheartening.....

Thanks... needed to vent.

I agree with ya there, the way to citizenship is totally insane. If someone like you who wants to have an honest living in the USA, than more power to them, let em cross over and pay for a passport. This is why when I become King of the world, stuff like that won't happen. cheering

Get pregnant when your about to have the baby get into a plane and give birth over the states.. Boom your in because your kid is automatically an America citizen.. Does that help? grin

but seriously if you think the states is bad you should try western europe..your not even a citizen when you are born there if your parents are foreign

Welcome to the reality of all the good ones live far away on purpose just so they can torment us with it. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence because all the grass on this side of the fence has already been chewed down. Hey, I tried the mass transit of faraway folks to change out local folks with. Did anybody listen to me? No. I tried to make a better world for everybody but there are always those people who think they know better, lmao.

Why don´t u immigrate to Germany?
Immigrants get a home, money for living without working, when immigrating from russia a good pension and high loans for less.

I know a Canadian who has lived here for years.

She is a Canadian citizen, does not, nor can she vote in our elections and she owns property here.

Have the laws changed?

I know I would need a passport to go to Canada.

What are the laws, if you don't mind explaining?

hummm I've never heard of the 'lotto' approach either. Everyone I know came over and got a job right away - the employer 'sponsored' them. I have a friend who moved from Canada, but she came with a marriage proposal.
I suggest you get a job doing Anything here... apply from there.
We have all the same big box stores: Michaels for example. Once in, it should be more difficult to get them to let you go (hahaha)thumbs up

"Works for the mail order brides."

Not quite Jax rolling on the floor laughing They have to go thru quite a bit, filling out paperwork, proof that the one here is able to support the other and even an interview (possible more than one if something isn't right with required paperwork).

PunkassPrincess & Xfactor

Are the two of you trying to get a K1 visa? I've heard these can take as long as 6 - 12 months if there are no problems. Once she's here, the two of you have 90 days to get hitched

Hey Punkass,

1,000?

Have you actually checked with Immigration Canada lately to see how much it would cost YOU to sponser an immigrant to Canada. Try 13,000 so consider your application cheap.
