That's why common sense applies. It's one thing to generalize for sake of an argument or a statistic debate if you will ( in this case using accurate data )and other completely different thing to generalize because of prejudice and/or ignorance ( as we see most often) And the second kind of generalization often brings to wrong absurd informations as it's the case.
