I did live in The Soviet Union for quite a long time and certain stuff they built up there was real amazing. They almost solved the housing problem. They had a great health care system. They had a somewhat ok education system. And one thing I noticed was that money as such was not all that helped them to build it. And to a certain extent they proved the point that money is not what builds a nation and individuals. Yet the system collapsed.
To me what uprooted that society was not that much the call of freedom or equality. I am not saying that these principles didn't play a role, but more than that what caused the fast decay of that society was the Levi's and Lees, Coke and Pepsi, Nike and Adidas. Don't we have to analyse why those materials played a key role in the demise of a vast society? May be from that analysis we may better b in a position to evaluate what role money plays directly and indirectly in society..

I don't recall attributing those things (U.S. arrogant, rude, loud, without culture) to you but I can understand if you took it that way. I was actually attributing that to the many other posts. I specifically attributed the title of your thread to you.

Did you live in The Soviet Union? Or were you in Russia?? I am no great fan of Russia but lived there for a while working as an English teacher. Their Health care is abysmal, their education system is excellent.
