How do you think he's going so far? Do you like him?

Personally, I can't get the sight of him in his speedos out of my head. It's not a shot I wanted in my mental roladex. Does a man who has time to get abs have our countries best interests at heart? lol.

I was never fond of him, but I do think he has the ability to hit the government where it hurts. some of his policies I dont agree with, and the speedo's that wasnt an image I cared for

Well, the fact that he has resurrected Phillip Ruddick na Bronwyn Bishop out of the back bench graves, says a lot.

What I mainly am concerned with is the fact he intends to simply oppose...well...everything!doh

And nobody is going to tell our Tony any different.

A healthy opposition is one which actually opposes based on the fact they have some very different policies. Last I heard on the climate change issue, the Liberals have none. And I could go on. It's not about the party, but what they actually propose and then set about to achieve.

I don't want to even think about Mr Ruddick's performance as Minister for Immigration years ago. I couldn't believe my ears when he was cornered by an ABC journo who ran the story about a known terrorist walking the streets of Melbourne. That is the only reason we got to find out about it publicly, when he was confronted as to why we did that. His answer, and I heard it with my own ears..."He was homeless. No other country would have him". WTF???????

I did some work in Woomera at the Detention centre there at the time, in around 2001, and I met up with one of Saddam Hussein's cousins. He was complaining about the 2 years he had already been there. Well, no other country wanted him, not even Turkey. Guess what? He, too was released here, and ended up in bloomin Adelaide. To add insult to injury, some demented female doctor 'fell in love' with him, and bloody well married him. Funnily enough, they had to go in hiding.

Anyway, it's all your fault, steve, you got me started!!!laugh

Interesting comments from everyone. I agree that many politicians act like children sometimes - the leadership spill coverage was astounding. I know 12 year olds who can resolve their differences with others better than politicians seem to be able to.

Personally, I don't believe a thing that comes out of Tony Abbott's mouth. I don't know what it is about Liberal politicians, but they all look like smug disingenuous school boys to me.

Well, the fact that he has resurrected Phillip Ruddick(quote)

Ha ha ha Ruddick always looked always looked like the undead so resurrection would be about the only thing that would make him human. As for Abbott god help us if he ever gets in to power. It would be back to the dark ages he's a nasty little religious fascist like Bush who believes he's got god on his side. He would take us in to world isolation because of his devout anti global warming denials them dance around the funeral pyre for the nation saying its the devils work all that original sin...

Yes, too true about dear Ruddick. In his later years, he did look as if he'd had visits from the wife of Dracula in the night, fully confirmed when he opened his mouth!

About Abbott, maybe the Party voted him in from a perverted desire never to win annother Federal election again!dunno
