I have some old beer beer beer bottles, started this when I found one in the lake, but I never bought one. All have a picture or some text in the glass. Some are older than 100 years and there is a filled one closed with a cork. And I have one of the first PAGO bottles (if someone knows this)

Then I collect french coins, francs, before euro (no gold, no essays .. too expensive).
It remaind after I tried to make bussines in buying kilos and selling single coins (which failed).
(Any french who will send me the old money?)

And third... something to laugh about .... I collect items (autographs etc.) of the lady you can see on the picture conversing

(I also collect refused job applications ...have a big stack ... but dislike this )

I was an avid stamp collector for most of my life. Even started writing a book about it but no more. Sold everything.

Sooner or later your possessions will come to posses you.

I have a good cure for people addicted to buying everything they see. Just picture that $39.99 item sitting on a folding table at a flea market with a 50 cent price tag on it.

As to coins & stamps antiques and "collectables" you must remember you are the retail customer. A dealer must resell it to someone LIKE you, and to make a profit he must almost steal it FROM you. That's how he stays in business.

Of course...I did a bit of buying and selling.....yards sales are great for this...people sometime do not know what they have...and auctions work well for buying low...but it is not about the profit for me it is more about looking though junk somewhere and finding a treasure...well a treasure to me anyway....laugh uh oh

Not alyways true- some dealers clean lofts of old people or buy from guys who don´t know the price on the market. E.g I bought some russian coins for a few bucks and sold one coin for about 100 Euro (it had I special date, I was surprised when the price in the auction rised this high),

Evidently Deacon hasn't been used too much. Sits in a corner all day collecting dust.
