But many of us have been single parents long enough to not be looking for your financial help. My ex provides for his sons, as do I. I would never expect my S.O. to make a financial contribution. Were we, say, going to Disney World, I would expect to purchase my sons' tickets - as an example...
As far as time for you. Yes, I would make sure.....not having enough time for ME is why my ex is an ex. Been there done that ~ many single parents are aware of those issues and deal with them. My kids are older, so I admit, I don't have the same challenges finding time as a mom with little ones.
I believe, James, it's like anything ~ you find the situation that is best for you ~ a sorting process. But being a responsible sing;e mom is, IMO, a positive quality in me. A man can look at me and say, hey, her sons are awesome dudes ~ better behaved, better educated than most adults on here ~ she did something right. And, I did.

Your question can work both ways. I'm a single dad and although the kids are only with me one weekend on 2 there are plenty of women who are not interessed anymore when i say i'm a dad.
It's as if my good years have past. In my oppion there are many many good years in my future. I'm only 29 so my life is far from over, or so i think.

Singles moms rock!! I am one too ~ Single dads also rock
It isn't easy to parent alone. But it's better than having the kids grow up in a home with a bad marriage - just imho
