Have you ever had someone say that they have read your thread posts? If so, does it ever cross your mind that you regret any of the posts that you have made for any particular reason?

I ask this because I've had a few people say that they have done this - and I sometimes wonder what they will think after they read them all. I think sometimes its difficult to truly understand someone simply from a post (kinda like a thought taken out of context) unless the whole thread is read (wherein lies the issue sometimes of posts being deleted).

What's been your experiences/thoughts?

Yes it does, but that didn't really answer my initial question of would you consider changing any of your posts.

don't regret even my ultra drunk posts because it provides a better understanding of who I am and anyone looking deserves the truth... I rarely sensor my self. Little irritated over spelling mistakes though.

LG, I suppose if I realized I had offended someone by something I had said in a post I would offer an apology, however, change the original response to what I read in the thread....NO. I am a first impression kind of guy and my responses are always in that vein, and if that offends you I apologise in advance...Lee

Nah! if I said it i probably meant it at the time, might have a few regrets sometimes after but thats just remorse so get on with it. When i do reflect back I think the original post was probably correct.

No, I haven't ever regretted threads/posts of mine. In fact, there are some threads from way back when that I do wish were still ongoing. There are those I would like to still be having a good ol' banter with....

Still.... things move on, eh?

Good thread, love! bouquet

It's a matter of openion...

It's a matter for discussion...

I've got some bad comments about my thread and some good comments about others. Sometimes being stupid is being human. I don't judge threads because I don't know the people who write them. We are all in the same boat. wink

Not really. No sense in worrying about it since I can't change some posts lol...

I haven't really thought about. Usually I just read the relevant posts of the threads that I am in and skim over the other ones. I may check out some posts of some people who I find interesting, but that is like in that moment if I see that they made a fresh post---I certainly don't spend an hour or so reading all of their posts lol. Are you worried about your posts? jk laugh
Hope you are enjoying your weekenddaisy

No I'm not worried, but it just surprises me sometimes that people have read them or the majority of them! I may read a few that someone posts, but not everyone of them.

I guess what also comes to my mind is that we get an perspective of someone, but we may also "miss" things that they've also said by not reading their other posts. I've made a comment to someone that I thought "so and so" was a nice person and they proceeded to tell me some of the things that this other person had posted, which made me reconsider my initial impression. Now in saying this, do I rely on others comments to form my own opinions - certainly not. But it does make me think that it may be wise to take a little more time to read.
