Aw thats a shame....I would have popped in and said hello but Im working til 9pm on friday night and then have to go say Happy Birthday to my Dad....I would have loved to have went to the comedy gig.....anyways....deffo next time with a bit more notice please!!!

Hi Crystal, sorry for the short notice on this. There are murmurings of a properly organised Glasgow meet early next month and there will be more comedy events to come also, so plenty more opporchancities to all meet up ..........

Hello A, yes it would be good to meet others but I think it was too short notice. Anyway, when you come over we will know the dates in advance so perhaps can arrange a proper Scottish meeting then, catch some comedy and live music. There is plenty about to ensure a fun night out. Sorry for the short notice folks but I am meeting up with Patmac this Friday for a few beers and then going to see a friend perform a comedy standup gig at the State Bar. Was hoping / wondering if anyone would like to join us.

Easiest to get to 30 yards from Queens St. station, big Witherspoons pub, good beer, cheap and within easy walking to lots of better venues if enough turn up.
Pub is on the South West corner of George Square.... Merchant city bars ony 100 yards or so away.... Live music, Tapas bars and all manner of good times....
then for me and whoever wants to join in, it's along to the comedy gig ......

In his debut Glasgow Comedy Festival show, Jim Park documents his meteoric rise to obscurity as a stand-up comedian.
We delve into his comic roots ; meet his clinically insane relatives and explore his early childhood on the hot streets of Springburn.
His inexplicable delay in becoming a stand-up was finally ended as a result of experiencing near-death incidents in Largs and Colombia ;
and within a year of embarking on a stand-up career, Jim was performing a 5 minute open spot at "McCabes Bar" in Ayr on a Tuesday night.
This is his story...
Furthermore I am delighted to announce that Scottish Comedy's Martin McAllister will be performing a short set at the top of the show....
