I believe the secret ingredient is that you are friends. My best relationship was with someone who was also my best friend. We didn't start out that way, we started out as lovers, typical boyfriend and girlfriend. But as we got closer, we became best friends too,and that is what make the relationship last and become deeper and more important. We married and had a family. Sadly, the marriage has not lasted, but we are still friends. Being best friends doesn't mean we weren't romantic or passionate, we were. Lack of passion is not why the marriage isn't working. Anyway, I think that if your partner is also your best friend, that's what is the ingredient that makes a relationship last and makes it work.------ This thread is Archived ------

This was a great movie that your quote is from (Field of Dreams with Amy Madigan and Kevin Costner) Coincidentally, it is also an excellent example of what a truly loving marriage is. (The marriage in the movie between the main characters).

If there is a secret?, then which road do we go to?, to learn that, "Ive stayed at the lights too long? have I gone too fast? and then got nicked!, have i gone too slow? and encouraged irrate behavour.,there is no secret,.
Its not about, why, we are here, its to me' about, just doing and putting out there what we want. In a beautiful good way.. you were obviously a great swimmer like us all, that breath and live this life. ( As you were born!)
