I was thinking about this morning and thought it might be a good topic for a forum. I am on my lunch break and can't stick around to see what happens, but here goes.
What are little things you can do to make that special person's day. What are things you would love to see your special person do for you. When is a good time to do these things ?
What have you done for me lately ??
Have a great day. (wave) ( this computer here ...the emotion thingies don't work ! ) ( very mad !! ) ( laugh )..
I was 'cyber-dating' someone on here a while back. I'd mentioned to him that I forgot my lunch one day & he was going to call in a surprise order from all the way across the country to Pizza Hut & have them deliver it to my office. I thought that was really sweet.
It seems to me that these non-specific "little things" occur more-or-less spontaneously when the other person is,indeed, special. The particulars of what they involve may count for little.Sometimes they become symbolic.A gesture,or an abstraction. Lately I have been sending old love songs to be opened for breakfast or after dinner. They can only be assessed by the sender according to how they are percieved by the recipient. Sardines might be met with a lack of enthusiasm.Or Daffodils could take on an enormous import. One way to approach it: assign significance to something of no real value, but which is UNIQUE,that which no one else possesses-or would even care to. A common wildflower. A piece of quartz. A bluejay feather.
or make it an action...
Cleaning the ice from a wind-shield.(worked for a friend of mine.He did it all one winter) Making friends with the cat(tuna is a great help) Facilitate any project if only by taking an interest in it.
More a matter of how you do it than what you do...maybe it's more about how you say it than what you say.

Ya, if it's appreciated! I did all kinds of "nice" things and I'm not sure it was even noticed let alone appreciated. It was most certainly not recipicated. What happened? I have up. I gave the whole thing up.
Ahhh....in a perfect world.... (i.e., "if only...")

For them....
give them a massage in front of the roaring fire... cook them something nice... get their side of the bed warm on a cold night let them have the TV remote for the night.
for me.... Do foal watch for a night so I can get some sleep... Cook me something nice... Give these aching shoulders and neck a massage... laugh when I have a 'blonde moment'
good time to these....erm, now would be perfect...

Good topic Jeeps!
There are many things you can do to make their day: TELL the person how much they mean to you(verbal communication) SHOW the person how much you appreciate them (actions speak louder than words)
There is nothing different I'd love for him to do than what he already does... He is truly the most awesomely amazing guy ever! (Love you, Slim)
NEVER procrastinate! Don't take anyone for granted.
I encourage your photography at least once a week, if not more. And helped cheer you on in support when you quit smoking. So there!
