You say you don't care about U.S. policy, but that doesn't seem to be the case. When Germany has Obamessiah come and bring his message of hope to their shores.......when his European tour is bigger than U2........when there are just as many proObamessiah threads started by people who don't live in the U.S. on these boards then there are negative by American citizens.....

Not saying something didn't/doesn't need to be done ooby.
This bill is not the answer though. Health care will be TONS worse in 10 years - 6 years after this bill goes into full effect.
We will have fewer doctors, fewer dollars, and substandard care.
And that woman whose life was prolonged by medical care would have been referred to hospice care months earlier under the new legislation because treating her long term would be too costly.
It is called Rationed care, and will be the new normal in 10 years.

Not sure how your system is down there in terms of quality of treatment and waiting times. This line of your that I quoted though reminds me kind of how our health care is.
Yes you can get in. You may have to wait for 8 hours in a clinic just to get your runny nose looked at though. Then once you're in they rush you through because there are 30 people waiting behind you. They don't have your medical history on file, they aren't treating the whole person, essentially just putting bandaids on the immediate concerns for a temporary fix. Tough to find family doctors taking new patients because they are overloaded as is. When forced with a day long wait for something that may or may not be a problem, sometimes it's easier to just not go in. This in the long run can be fatal for some. Depends????
So many angles to look at it from. Glad we have access to health care but without additional coverage which we have to pay for prescription treatments still cost more than some families can afford. So yes above quote could quite easily happen.
I know it's not my country this is just my opinion from what I have seen up here.

Look for yourself at the number of threads. Do you see any other nation debating, arguing or bickering about their internal politics. There's pleanty going on round the world. Check out the Irish forums. That's where you will find Irish issues. Check the UK forums, Canadian or Europeans. But yet those from the US keep treating the International as if it's their own personal forum.
And it's just thread after thread of the same drivel backed up by this right wing web site or that left wing publication or worse still Wikipedia as if it was an authority on anything.
