I'm single because of me. I am a "people pleaser" therefore I tried to become what my significant other wanted. Several months later I would become unhappy. I would lose myself, then subconsciously blame my man for not allowing me to be myself. It has taken me 3 years of being single to see it.
I have spent the last few years with the attitude of..."Single? I'm not single. I have a longstanding relationship with fun and freedom." Now I have decided that there is a possibility that I can be "me" while being an "us". :) The only thing is....finding a man that can handle "me"! lol

I'm single because I have chosen this for now.
In any case, I notice people bicker here and make some claim that we single ones are miserable because somehow being single has been bestowed on us because we are evil people or something.
I just wanted to say that I enjoy being single. It gets lonely at times, but it's better than being in something that is not fun or even going on a fury of dates. I can wait for that. I had my fury of weekend romances last summer during baseball season. I guess when I'm ready, I'll be ready. I like my individual freedom right now and I need some extra time for myself.
So that is why I am here, in these forums. To hang out, have a solid discussion, smile a bit, tell people how wrong they are lol,

I'm single because I have chosen this for now. I have not had a date since December. I had a GF last year from December to May, but I took that as long as I could take it and it was not a good match for me.
From 06-08 I was in a perfect relationship and I really had my soulmate. However, the woman was 37 and had no kids. She really wanted one. I already have two kids who are still pretty young and I was not ready to have another kid at the time. So I had to let her go so she could be with some man who wanted a kid with her. She has one now and I am happy for her.
