"Step Mom", "Notting Hill" and "Terms of Endearment". And, if I may, plug a movie I have co-written a song for..."Heights"...starring Glenn Close, Elizabeth Banks, Isabella Rossellini, and Jesse Bradford. It is out now. Go see it.

What about that 1980's flick "Without a Trace" wher the woman's 6 year oldson was missing, and just when she thinks he may be gone, Judd Hirsch ( playing a cop) and his little boy bring her son home? The last seen where she is bringing home her groceries, the police cars are lined up around the block, she sees her boy and drops all of her groceries and runs into his arms?

Guarenteed to melt even the coldest heart, lol.

The movie playing was called "Dad" (I think, Ted Danson..) and we were a bunch of guys drinking beer before the house party started....came the commercial and everyone "skee-daddled" with excuses like "gotta pee, need a beer, calling the girls" and the likes. You could see the tears welling up in the boys eyes, or maybe it was the just the extra new found moisture in my own eyes

Oh, let's see, there are so many that can do it for me. Off the top of my head I'd say "Dead Poet's Society", "I Am Sam", and "What Dreams May Come."
