Can anyone explain to me please why people both men and women judge the book by the cover, i'd say from experience that 80% of men (and maybe the number is similar with women)only want to be seen with a skinny pretty woman, they dont seem to want to entertain the idea of dating a fuller figured BBW - BUT WHY...dunno
We can be just as happy go lucky and like to have a laugh the same as anybody else but the minute i tell anyone that i'm cuddly built they dont want to know anymore or they think it then gives them the right to totally insult and humiliate you via a mail because they're hiding behind the computer screen. Is it just me thats finding this scenario happening to them or is there actually men out there who like to be friends with or maybe date BBW.
I'm really curious to know what people think because i dont think i'm ugly, i just have extra weight on so i think that still makes me a human being with feelings. heart wings smitten sad flower

Hi Crazychick wave
There are guys out there that do prefer the fuller figured woman, so don't worry....... You will find someone I am sure.

And as for the jerks that insult you by e-mail then just ignore them, don't let them get to you. They are probably very insecure in themselves if they need to resort to insulting others.

Be happy and he will find you. hug

It pains me to say this, but overweight ladies, whilst (in my experience) usually very bubbly, utgoing and personable, are just not attractive to the majority, and I assume the same can be said in reverse.

It is a fact that physical attraction is the foremost thing that brings 2 people together initially and in todays society, conditioning/media programming is all aimed towards the slimmer figure.

As I said above... and I really wish to stress this.. I personally do not find large women to my taste even if facially attractive (by large I refer to BBW as opposed to fuller figure), but I am fully aware that they are just as capable of love and fun and all other emotions as everyone else. In fact, often they are more loving and outgoing.

Sadly, and I am guilty of it even, it is a purely physical thing. We live in a visual and asthetic world, and that often extends even to our partners in life.

I do truly regret saying this, as I would have no intention of hurting your, or any other large persons feelings, but it is the truth.

Best of luck xx

It's not you, crazychick. You are beautiful. Extra weight is not a default, it is only not the fashion in our countries. But many men do not like anorexic looks.

Some people feel the need to be rude, insulting and humiliating others. They are probably jealous, frustrated, unstable or with some mental disorder.
For them, one always is too skinny, too fat, too old, too young, too tall, too short, too hairy, too bald, ... frustrated

Don't listen to those freaks. Be yourself, a great woman. I am sure you will find a lot of nice people here who do not judge the book by the cover.
Good luck to you!

You can spend your whole life in trying to change the world....

and it will leave a bitter taste of a lost battle

Changing your own perspective on life that surounds you is the key to success

I must admit to feeling rather crappy for having given my opinion, but I would rather say it that hide behind falsehoods.

As for insulting a person for the way they look, their size, or anything else visually related, that is uncalled for, and any man that does it. not only lets himself down as a man, but as a person full stop.

You come across as a very likeable and caring person, and I am sure you will find what you seek. There truly is someone for everyone, and they often find us in the most unlikely of places.

The Forums are a good place for putting across your personality, which is hard to do in a profile comment, so as has been suggested, hang out here and get yourself known... you never know
