You know friendship is a wonderful thing, and oft times our friends are the ones who hold our hands through the utter disasters in our life.
So importantly, never consider the offer of a genuine friendship as settling, or missing out.
Having said that its really difficult when we have feelings for someone and they arent reciprocated. So do let yourself 'grieve' all those dreams you had.
Of course you should consider seeing the new fella, he just maybe the one
and you'll never know unless you put yourself out there. Just explore the possibilities, with the new man, and the friendship on offer from the other man.

Then I've met a real nice guy on here that lives around 2 hours away and I think I am starting to develope feelings for him.
I'm torn as I'm not sure what I should really do.

Move on! There is no use trying too make someone love you? They either do or they don’t! but they can get in your way of you finding happiness, if you let them,
Your worth more than that! You deserve the best there is on offer! Now get out there and be the best you can be!
Unrequited love sucks! You have the option, a possibility, a chance, with another guy - don't think twice about it - go for it girl - and good luck!
I totally agree with everything everyone's said.When you fishing the same spot and getting no bites - shift to where there's some nibbles. Forget the other guy - go for the one who shows intrest.

I to agree with the majority. But do it responsibly, Don't go in all guns blazing just because we on this forum said do it.
Do it at a pace that suits you. And do it in a way that leaves you feeling in control. It may not work. We don't know. We're just saying give it a try because a missed opportunity is a chance lost forever. And you don't want to get to 50 and be all alone and wonder if you hadn't missed this chance would it be different.

Teddybear77: Thanks everyone for your advice. I met up with the guy from this site and he is really nice guy and a real gentalmen. Not sure where it will lead but we are happy to be friends to start with.
