Remember that I cut my thumb and a boy in preschool giving me a mintie so I would feel better - awwww, that was so nice of him. also falling off the jungle gym arrangement and hurting something! I guess I remember these things because they impacted on me more than general life stuff.

I also remember having an earache at school, guess I was 5 or 6 and looking flushed, cos the teacher told me to take my cardigan off. But not long before or after, I was bitten by ants and I remember that bothering me too but outside in the playground this time.

Memories of not such nice things!

I have read that geniuses tend to have better memories before they were five year old and we other average people don't.....sigh.

Welcome Cookiez - good luck. Your profile sounds lovely so am crossing my fingers for you. I would suggest you try other sites as well though, as this one is not so good for meeting people but is better for just having chats and talking on all sorts of topics on the forums! But you never know.

Credit card insurance? I thought that credit cards covered losses anyway if the purchase was a scam? They refund fairly easily I think - check with your provider first before getting something you might not need.

Dogs are the most loving, funny, adorable creatures - they bring much joy to me and I love going home to them. Sometimes I even enjoy going home to my bf too!

Newlife - I have just spent 9 days at the Sunshine Coast - the week before it flooded. Enjoyed it a lot even though it rained a bit much. Just had a long weekend at the south coast NSW - that was brilliant too, so this weekend will be trying to catch up on all those bits and pieces at home.

So I am with you - chilling, relaxing, with perhaps a BBQ thrown in with by BF if the weather is good. Lunch with a cousin and another PT session, which I badly badly need, as have been, as usual, eating way too much lately.

Hope you all had a grand Xmas/holiday time if you did have any time off. I have the whole week off which is fantastic!

NYE will be at a friend's place, some pizza and a little wine, then into town for the fireworks, then back for some more NY's cheer.

Looking forward to having something to do this year - other years have been very quiet ones.

oh yes...buyers regret - many times, especially as I hate trying clothes on and sometimes just take the risk.

Personally I blame the manufacturers for f#cking up the sizing way too often!

Of course a couple of exercise DVDs are still waiting patiently to be unwrapped.....

I agree that sometimes people's comment can post differently to their normal way - I have seen it and wondered. I have also seen some apologise the next day for their comments the night before - some have even been a little embarrassed.


But I like others sometimes need to read posts more than once just to be sure about what the post is getting at.....

Martia, don't get a smart phone, even smart people find them a little complex for their needs.

I would suggest a simple Telstra phone or the like, which just works as a phone plus allows texts. If you want a camera, make sure you get that too. Otherwise don't worry about other bits and pieces. You buy a basic one for less than $100 I believe. A little more would probably buy you a nice little phone. You can also get one with larger keys on it which helps when your reading glasses are elsewhere!

I will try to find a link for you, although most phone stores are good at looking after your individual needs. You should be able to get pre paid or $30 a month for what you are after.

You want straightforward, easy and reasonably cheap, but not 'cheap', with good coverage. Let the seller know that.

When I was away for 7 weeks in Europe and came home, one of my dogs was at the window waiting for me! I was so pleased about that - whether by chance or otherwise, she made me feel especially welcome.

I believe the parents are of Asian or Indian origin. One article I read said they had visited Bali before and they knew there son had problems with drugs and were hoping the visit would help - not sure how - I think it might have been about taking him away from bad influences in Australia for a while.

The boy was seen not only buying it the M, but bragging about it as well. I wonder if he has learned a lesson because once he gets back here everyone will be paying him so much attention, wanting to sign him up for his story and he will be the centre of attention - that will send very poor signals to him and others....
