wave Newlife - I have just spent 9 days at the Sunshine Coast - the week before it flooded. Enjoyed it a lot even though it rained a bit much. Just had a long weekend at the south coast NSW - that was brilliant too, so this weekend will be trying to catch up on all those bits and pieces at home.

So I am with you - chilling, relaxing, with perhaps a BBQ thrown in with by BF if the weather is good. Lunch with a cousin and another PT session, which I badly badly need, as have been, as usual, eating way too much lately.

The kid has started her school holidays and goes for her log books tomorrow, so I could be doing a lot off sitting in the passenger seat this weekend,

You now get your life back, no more dad's taxi and the dreaded "can I do some driving after work tonight??" doh

12mths and 100 hrs on L's is a long time for parents besides it just gives them more time to pick up your bad habits dancing

There has never been a dads taxi! I tolled her that when she moved in, her mum lives just down the road so she can be the taxi, its only 25 hours on logbooks over here and she can go for her licence at the end of August for her P plates,

I don’t have bad habits! I am a professional driver! As I drive trucks for a living, 38 hours per week, on the road, none stop, although I had to correct her a few times on our trip to grandmas house today, her driving is better than most you see on the road as I taught her! What too look for on the roads, and how to predict what other drivers are doing ahead off you and behind you, she is very confidant in the car chatting away as she is driving and doing all the right things, she is very clever,

25 hrs on logbooks!! Lucky you. 100 hrs over 12 mths equates to roughly 2 hrs per week - which is a lot of time when you consider people have to work etc.....

congrats on doing the right thing with your daughter, I have to say after so many years of driving it is hard to go back to the basics and I think that is where the mistake with the laws are?

Not many people can afford 100 hrs of Driving Instruction so it is up to the parents to do the bulk of it therefore after so many years of driving we do have bad habits. As my daughter rightly pointed out to me!! doh

I did tell her never to assume that other drivers will do the right thing i.e. that they will give way to traffic coming from the right on roundabouts, compensate for the idiots. thumbs up
