When I was away for 7 weeks in Europe and came home, one of my dogs was at the window waiting for me! I was so pleased about that - whether by chance or otherwise, she made me feel especially welcome.

It's just pure unadulterated joy when they see you don't you think conversing

My little maltese sometimes stands on his hind legs and peeks out the window when he hears my car pull up .. that little white face peering out makes me chuckle every time laugh

I went to Qld for 3 weeks hol when I got back and driving down the driveway waving to my mini horses one of the little mares went crazy racing along with the car screaming out to me jumping up to see over the fence ( cause she was only 29" tall) hehe! I have never seen a horse carry on the way she did just like an excited dog. I had dogs too but out of all the animals she was beside herself. hug

I will never forget that day here she is in profile pic I bred and showed her, she was only out in the show ring for 12 months with winning 18 supreme exhibits she and I had a special bond.

Her stud name was "Ellenbrook Cute As A Button"

when I was a teenager I spent 2 weeks in hospital. When I came home pne of the work dogs would not leave the front gate, and sat there and howled until I went out to see him.
For the next week Mums cat slept with me. Evidently then he decided that I was ok and it was ok to go back to sleeping with Mum again.

My current dog goes to the window and paws at it until I get inside, so cute

Our animals do have a special bond with us
