New Years Eve and 4th of July, never bothered me to be home alone.

It's Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving and my birthday that are nice to share with someone special.

Doesn't bother me. If the kids are away at parties I either drop in at a neighbour's or just rent a video, indulge in some fav snacks and relax for the evening.

Being alone at new years would not bother me.......

Sometimes the solitude is good, it helps me reflect on the year before and decide what kind of changes I need to make in my life.

In the past I was always with family but now that I live here in Spain it's different unless we are able to visit each other, if I'm not with family I spend it with friends and always speak to my family on the telephone at midnight. I would not like to spend New Year alone it's always better, in my opinion, to celebrate the new year with family or someone special.

Like I have heard other people say, I don't mind New Years Eve alone. It's X-mas and my birthday I don't wanna be alone. All the other days I don't mind. Even Thanksgiving, just another day..... but I didn't grow up with Thanksgiving day and that makes a difference too.
