But usually is not like this: most of the people when they get older become too attached to their habits and believings that is not always easy to deal with in a couple.

in some ways yes they do but try getting ran over by a car it puts your life in perspective pretty darn quick and I should not judge maturity by age but have noticed that some of the middleaged to older couples while not having infatuation have something deeper. It is brought on by just weathering life together and the realization of having to be there for their mate. I saw that in the hospital and in fact wrote poetry about it that is on that section. One couple the man would come in and stay with his wife all day long, just the way he held here and was there for here it was powerful and intangible. that is love.

Dawn...you arrived at the point: you are talking with a nurse that passed now 20 years of his life in a hospital...and I'm glad to see what you wrote...it's a sweet melody for my soul.
I know very well that true love exists somewhere...but as you saw not everybody can live it in the good times as in the bad times.
It would have been very nice to come and get a coffee with you and share all this for real...but I have to check how many bus stops there are to arrive where you live...

I have a great fondness for nurses mine were wonderful. As I am in Oregon(my native state) and not in Colorado( where I live) it is exactly 122233 bus stops get here and I will buy your coffee lol. Thanks for a laugh and no nothing is perfect in life but there is always hope.
