Lol~~~ Yea, people care more about earning money today. However, remember, work or earning money only provides you a life, but love provides you a life that is worth living.

mjames: Well it matters who you are? I think in todays culture people want to just do and say whatever they want and have someone let them.
We should all be evolving into better people until the day we die.
If we want people to just accept us faults and all, without us wanting to improve ourselves, then we are selfish.
Dating is easy; people just have to take the effort and get out there and meet people; I have dates all the time; there are tons of people to date; but we want it easy.
We also tend to choose bad people to date just because we are attracted to them, or because they have shallow things we like, or make us feel good for the moment.
If the internet is a persons only dating tool, they are foolish.
Get off the computers, go out and meet people, and things will be fine.

Hmm i dont spend my time on the internet i come on here every now and then. i am a full time nurse so i dont get out much due to my hours and i am talking in general about the men i have met off the internet as i have not met anyone on the internet yet so you cant say i spend all my time on the net as i dont.
Anyway time to sleep for me as i have been on nights and need my bed now its 10am here in UK.

Loveartlife: I think Lstx2 and Plainljune that if what you lived was a true and real love, from both sides, it shouldn't have ended: real love has so deep roots that you can't take them away...and it lasts forever.
Not true...When we fall in love its true...sometimes it ends...thats life! we learn, we grow, and we fall in love again.

I do believe that true love still exists! Those things that you’ve mentioned have nothing to do with "true" love. Money, self-centeredness, and shallow values! Regardless, of the world we live in as long as we're seeking persons who are like ourselves whom we find “attractive,” we have to believe in true love.

I do believe a lesser percentage of people still believe in honest and true love. Depends on their upbringing and family values. But your statement is very true about the higher percent of people in this society today. Lack of respect and committment can be part of the reason.
