2. Encouraging people to move on and grow when they are ready to do so and in the direction that they want to go in;
3. Creating boundaries whilst being open to change when the need arises;
4. Acknowledging that learning works both ways;
5. Expecting to be listened to, but never forgetting to listen;
6. Resolving conflict;
7. Knowing when to be there for someone, but knowing when you need time for yourself.
Is that mumsy, or is it what you would do in any relationship, be it children, friends, family, or lovers?
