MrInteresting: People could be the same, even if you had met them, in the 'normal' way, as well, of course.

I think if you look within yourself, you can often tell whether or not the person is being genuine, in all that they say, or all that they write. After that, it's down to taking a gamble, but life is a gamble.

Yes I agree, but my instincts function better in real life as opposed to online, and some people are very skilled, as I ,at being duplicitous online. It´s much more difficult to know who you are dealing with, so yes you have to take a gamble.

Amity: Wolves in sheeps clothing that is?
How is it possible to be aware of someone who acts and plays the part of a wonderful person only for you to find out that you are actually being groomed?
That this person is not all they make out to be,in fact they are probably selling the same story to you as many other women..

How would you even know?
To me, i see this behaviour as scammer type behaviour.
What are your views?

Become an expert at recognizing these people, especially the long distance ones, you certainly don't want to marry one of them!! doh frustrated laugh

I'd want to speak to them for hours, on the phone, spanning a wee while, and, then, from that, I would know if there was anythng worth pursuing. For me, the interest is usually there or not. So, if I was able to do that, and she was happy for me to ring her at home, then sure, I would trust her until she proved not to be trusted, I suppose.

But, as I say, your instincts should tell you who sounds consistant, and who isn't.

thumbs up

In response to: Wolves in sheeps clothing that is?

Hello Pretty Amity
There is not way to know 100% for sure if "that" person is honest but some are very obvious and I have suspicions of a person with two profiles besides the ones we already know (the multiprofiles), etc.

On an one to one level what I would is ask questions and of course I am willing to answer them too and get to know better each other and then decide the next step.

So lets get started. We are at about 10% right now, could be 15% but when you stopped by my profile you didn't say Hi. wave
