Defo sounds like your father is turning a blind eye to your son's activities, but as you mentioned, you went to his graduation, which entails that he has some intelligence, maybe he'll snap out of it!!!

Just remember that most young'uns throw a wobbly, and go off the rails for a wee while, and the majority wisen up and get back on track.

911gypsy: Everytime I go there, the whole house smells like pot.....yet grampa doesnt believe me??? wtf is wrong with him???? I love my son with all my heart, I made a bad decision letting him live with gramps because I wasnt there for him because of my work. Now........my relationship is nil........gramps turned him against me. :( Sounds crazy??? ya??? well it is.........and it should never have been this way.

All kids go off the deepend at some stage in life, and are Pissed off with theri crappy parents... for the better part they all at some stage are embarrassed by their seriously UNCOOL parent/s.

As for pot smoking, don't worry too much about it, it's part of the REBELLION too. I know many very successful people in Europe and the USA who smoke daily.... Better weed than booze believe me.

Your son will come back to you, but you'll have to stand off from the situation for a while, not judge and let it run its course. Most tenagers are a mass of raging hormones, so that excludes rational, logic and common sense.

His grandad sounds like an idiot, but he probably has his own issues, and therefore agenda too.

Keep the head up and try not worry too much, I hope everything works out for you.

With a pinch of luck, he may have a few minor incidents that may make him think twice about dealing it. Nothing too bad, but just bad enough to make him think twice.

As for gramps, he needs a major wakeup call.

Gramps is too old to get a wakeup call....bloody almost senile. Honestly??? death is the only answer. I hate to say that but its true.

Don't give up hun. It may not be clear now but there is always a way to get through to someone, in this case it may have to be unconventional but there is a way to get through, just need to find it.
