Don't know if it is happening more than usual but I am so over the crying, blubbering, wailing that goes on these days.sigh

I am talking about every time you turn on the TV,here's a few just lately ....

* The World Cup Soccer, they win a match they are kissing each other and crying, they loose a game they are crying.

* Masterchef (haven't seen one episode but the trailers are enough). 2 'chefs' in front of 3 'judges' with too big egos, both or one of the chefs ends up blubbering. Give me a break, it's a game.

* Cadel Evans - Tour de France, not sure why he was crying, something about a fractured arm and not having a chance of winning a green/yellow whateva T-shirt.

And then to cap it all off we have the now ex-Prime Minister, Mr. Kevin Rudd, lip quivering, blubbering, tearing up at his farewell looser speech!! doh

I am so over it? Where are all the real men these days? What happened to grin and bear it? Taking one for the team? Man up for God's sake. cool

Think the days of the SNAGs are over, come on fellas step up to the mark.

teddybear cheers thumbs up

I like it when someone shows emotion. It's natural. I can't stand great big cry babies that cry at the drop of a hat but if you are under severe pressure (Demoted from being PM, or Masterchef, etc) I would probably cry and if your upset and the tears start to well, I say let it out. dunno

Yep, I am the same - coming from a family where my dad was/is an emotional guy, I understand how and why this happens when emotions are high - if someone doesn't feel that, and I guess I am talking about guys in particular from my viewpoint, then I tend to think their emotions in life and love might be wanting too.

And that just won't do - for me anyway. blah blah flower

I would much rather have a guy who has empathy and lets his feelings go.
I want to know the real person.Married for all those years and never really knew my ex.

Thank goodness I have someone now who can really open up his feelings and its wonderful.

Never had the oppertunity to have a loving partner and a best friend too. I am so blessed.heart wings

Hi Newlife. I know most of us post, tongue in cheek most times, and this thread probably one of them. However, I think we've only made very small gains in men's mental health, wiht a long way to go. Depression is still something most men would never seek help for. So, if a man cries, hey, I just hope a good friend is close by.
