Meaning 95% of them are Muslim populations....and the minority faith are a combination of Christian, Jew, Hindu and other faiths are less than 5%.
Ask the question.....with Islam coming in the 6th Century and the life of Mohammad the Prophet....meaning that prior to the 6th century...all of these 55 countries were majority faiths of Jew, Christian, Hindu and the others....how in 1300 years time did Islam become the majority faith with over 95% Moslem majorities?
I suggest even prior to the days of the Spanish Moors period, the Crusade period of history to present there has been coordinated effort under the Calphites of Islam and the Supreme Leaders of the Islamic sects to cause massive human relocations of infidels and other faiths from Islamic countries. In other words, persecutions.
It is about the only way, I can explain those kind of population mixes of faiths within Islamic countries in the present times. To cause this massive shift of Jew, Christian, and other faith from Islamic countries. Maybe others have a better answer....if so I would like to read or hear it.

A decrease of 20m to 4m.
The world's populations in 600 AD....when the Mohammad the Prophet birth was .....200m. About 1/2 would be in the 55 Islamic countries. Or about 100m as well. All would be non Muslim at the time of his birth. The Christian/Jewish population of the time....2.7m Christian and 750,000-1m Jewish population. These are global figures,

The proposed Mosque and planned Muslim community centre on so so called 'haloed ground' is the proposed Cordoba House, to be a place of tolerance.
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, who will run it, hopes it will help improve relations between Muslims and Americans of other faiths as well as the world at large. The 13 storey building will house a 500 seat auditorium, a swimming pool and an exhibition space as well as shops, restaurants and a place for prayers. Imam Feisal sees the 92nd street Y, a community centre guided by JEWISH principles but serving all...ALL faiths , as his model.
Mark Williams, a self styled Tea Party leader has consistently blogged that the centre will be a '13 storey momument to the 9/11 Muslim hijackers, for which he has been roundly condemned by all non Muslim comminity leaders in the area.

The local community board voted 29-1 to support the the plan, and it has the official backing of Michael Bloomberg, New York's mayor. I find it very strange at the posted remarks quoted above....Muslim Theocratic countries which have an inalienable right to exist as they fit, are not democracies but neither are Morocco or Tunisia Muslim Theocracies; neither is Libya, yet in all Muslim countries ancient Synagogues have always existed and are well known throughout the world. None have ever been closed or pulled down. That is against Islamic Law; same goes for Christian Churches. We are all irrevocably linked. So, I am perplexed by what does "high profile" means...or does that imply dominant....as the various apocaliptic Jewish sects wish to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the ancient Temple Mount in Jerusalem a finally toch off what they so desparatly want: Nuclear Apocalipse such as that sect led by the lunatic Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda Kook (no, I'm not making that name up! They aren't building churches coz they have enough Christian barracks and military bases out there.
