you're trying to relax your goo??confused laugh

Have you considered hypnotherapy-? I've heard it is good for that kind of thing. not good at meditating or suchlike myself, as i can't get my brain to switch off long enough to concentrate on not concentrating on anythinglaugh Good luck anyhow:)

Thanks bouquet

I have tried hypnotherapy before - for flying. It wasn't that successful ...and I spent €300 wow

Maybe lots of classical music and cutting out caffeine ...

Orla2010: You are so right, these guys and girls are the best in their field and I know I am in safe hands. I did a very stupid thing ... watched the operation I'm having on YouTube Not a clever idea AT ALL!

I WIKI'ed mine, nearly as bad.

Tell them you're nervous, they'll talk to you to help relax you.

If you've ever had a general anaestethic (god i can't spell tongight) you'll be fine.

If you haven't had a general, coming from someone who has an extreme phobia to medical procedures, it's not that bad, you're under before you realise what's happening.

I had a GA two years ago - maddest sensation EVER! I thought it would be like in the hospotal dramas and I'd have to count backwards from 100 ... but in the event I just went out really quickly .... the room just faded to black. Crazy stuff

Same here.

there was this plump woman with an adorable face (the kinda cheeks you just wanna squeeze) chatting to me, then I felt the needle.

I asked the old guy did he give me something, cuz I started to feel funny, then I woke up with a woman that looked like this standing over me asking how I was...

Awesome.

Honestly ..Calm yourself when your being wheeled to the waiting room by saying "These people do this all the time ..their Professionals and theres loads of other doctors around incase they accidently hit a major blood vessel"

The check in Nurse will put you at ease and have a bit of banter with you when asking you about your details but

They do have to train Junior surgeons and easy ops are a great test ground....but you should be ok as theres always a supervised Surgeon thereconversing

Not as thou with all the cutbacks and people being human with their own problems and worries a mistake could happen is it dunno

Just make sure you dont get John The Butcher Mahonney or Scalpal Shaker higgins ....

Have you made a will
