lovelifegalway: Hi everyone,

I have a question please Ive just joined and am unsure whether I should awnser mails if I dont feel a connection with the person, is it better to leave it unawnsered ? Or what should I say, please help ? I dont want to be rude or hurt ppls feelings :-O

If someone takes the time to send a mail I'll always try to reply and say thanks but no thanks. Some appreciate the reply and some get thick and insulting wondering what you are doing here if you're not looking so those ones just get blocked. dunno

sugar77: Ah i understand what your saying now...and using the forums can give you a good insight to what a person is really like too...ive never been to a meet so look forward to meeting people, putting a face to the name so to speak....now go get a coffee..

I'm drinkin tea
I'd have to write 10 pages to explain my thinking about online dating
The bottom line is ya have to have a thick skin and not take things personally
Although I have to say there's nothing worse than putting time and effort into talkin to a girl and it doesn't work out
Ya build a mental pic in yer head what ya think that person will be like and that image is never the same if ya meet
Or ya talk to someone for a while and then they blank ya for no reason ya can fathom
That's annoying bit that's life

Women are worse but in a more subtle way
In real life if I'm with a girl I just agree blindly
Women like to be in charge so i let them think theyareetongue

Its not always that they are not honest its often ourselves that fill in a lot of the blanks when chatting online to someone and then are let down when the reality doesn't match the expectation..dunno

Here's one for ye to answer,

If you have been on a date with someone and continue to chat to them online afterwards, do you assume or ask if they are arranging dates with other people also or do you think that most people concentrate on one person at a time? Interested in peoples opinions on this subject wave

I reckon there are all sorts. The person who really likes you and would like it to continue, the person who likes having a safety net there if nothing better comes along, and the total player who may be dating all round him.

Oh, I got shot down for this before. I personally wouldn't date more than 1 person at a time but about 2 years ago I started something with someone who was dating 3 others at the same time. Then she picked the most suitable person who needless to say wasn't me.

I was quite hurt when I found out but the general consensus on here was that I should go away and grow up and that this was a dating site after all!

I wonder as a man, if the roles had been reversed, if CS members would have the same opinion.conversing
