Godsgift: Oh, I got shot down for this before. I personally wouldn't date more than 1 person at a time but about 2 years ago I started something with someone who was dating 3 others at the same time. Then she picked the most suitable person who needless to say wasn't me.

I was quite hurt when I found out but the general consensus on here was that I should go away and grow up and that this was a dating site after all!

I wonder as a man, if the roles had been reversed, if CS members would have the same opinion.

Did she tell you that from the off gg?

Well personally I would happily chat and email away to other members off the site but wouldn't arrange dates with anyone else if I was keen on someone that I had met on a date already.......but ya know I think that people like me are few and far between and we are usually the one's who end up being hurt albeit through our own in/actions.

I mean it's not nice having to ask as well as it's not nice wondering either. Seems that a few people have this issue and I think its a topical subject.....possible thread idea.confused

I don't think its unique to dating sites, there is more on offer in the real world too. Its a personality trait that will only stop when he/she meets 'the one'! And its not always badness. Should you only agree to date someone if you're head over heels. If you date someone, have a very enjoyable time, but if you were totally honest with yourself you could not see a future with the person, is it wrong to date them again??

you have no responsibility to reply to mails, we all pick and choose that's how it is on a dating site

SereneGreen: Here's one for ye to answer,

If you have been on a date with someone and continue to chat to them online afterwards, do you assume or ask if they are arranging dates with other people also or do you think that most people concentrate on one person at a time? Interested in peoples opinions on this subject

I tend to concentrate on one. But I didn't always... I was dating 5 different girls at the same time at one stage... roll eyes Never again

If I'm dating a girl it wouldn't bother me if she was dating other people. Tbh, it wouldn't even cross my mind. As long as she was still dating me I'm cool with it and if I really like her, by that stage I'd pressume she'd have stopped dating.

Personally if there wasnt a connection, although i thought they were nice or ive had an enjoyable time,i would be straight out with them and honest.Otherwise i would think im leading them on..The honesty bit hasnt always gone down too well but id rather do that than give someone false hope.As for meeting 'the one'....ive been told im the one while he was also telling others at the same time..that they were the one!laugh doh seriously i give up!

ladylumps: If someone takes the time to send a mail I'll always try to reply and say thanks but no thanks. Some appreciate the reply and some get thick and insulting wondering what you are doing here if you're not looking so those ones just get blocked.

Ya I hear ya.. would like to avoid the nastiness though but I guess with some ppl you cant :-O
