if a woman asked me out then I would be flattered and touched. in this time it should not matter at all. that is how I feel.
Weimarlady: I sincerely believe that the first impulse of wanting to DO something about a person you like must come from the man. Otherwise, today she invites him for coffee, tomorrow invites herself to move in with him, and in a while asks him "will you marry me"? And the sad thing is that I'm sure a LOT of men just go with the flow and enjoy being thus "selected", much like sheep.... Until something clicks in their brain and they wake up one morning and say... "hey.... I didn't have ANY choice here... SHE made it all happen..... It wasn't MY idea that I wanted to be with her.... so.... I owe no one anything..."
Generally I've found that if the man seems interested (and you act interested too) but he does NOT ask you out, there are good reasons why - he's either not overly interested after all, or just unavailable and can't act upon it.
i disagree. the man woke up and said... he had no choice? what? so if he said yes. but could have said no. he had no choice. i'm offended a little here that you would have that low of an oppinion of men. so by that notion.... a woman in the mans possition, just because she said yes, made a choice. but a man says yes and he didn't make a choice. i disagree.

venusenvy: K..well so say your at the coffee shop, this kinda pretty lady smiles at you over her shoulder in line, Much to your surprise, after she pays, she turns and invites you to share coffee sometime. Are you thinking woot! its my lucky day orrrr Yikes hide me??
It would be churlish to turn down a pretty lady, any way whats a coffee, maybe a new friend, maybe something else, I would certainly accept on a friend basis.
depends how she does it, it can be freaky but if it is done to me with a I would like you to take me out as I am really not sure you would ask me in the first place,
I had a woman pick me up in Jakarta Indonesia and I was surprised but excepted her invitation..
In the hotel in Jakarta the women workers had a waiter ask me if I was single, he asked a lot of my single life and asked if I would date or marry an Indonesian woman, I kept my composure as I suspected why and told him it is possible and then he went into the kitchen quickly, by mid day the competition of women workers in the hotel was on trying to get my interest,

I really do not think it matters who asks who out, if the chemistry between two people is there thats what matters.

I once read somewhere that most relationships are started and ended by women.
